Chapter Meeting Tomorrow

Just a reminder that the UA Young Democrats' regular chapter meeting is tomorrow - Tuesday, September 15 at 5:00pm in Arkansas Union 513. This will be our second meeting for chapter business and we will welcome special guests Chairman David Whitaker and Treasurer Tim Freeman of the Washington County Democratic Central Committee, who will talk about ways to get politically involved on the local level. Tim, a former president of the UAYD chapter, will also talk about the upcoming "Democrats Rock" fundraiser for the WCDCC.

As an affiliate of the Arkansas Democratic Party and the Young Democrats of Arkansas, UAYD is the best way to get involved in politics - local, county, state, and national. Students from UAYD have gone on to intern and work at the U.S. Capitol, staff Presidential campaigns, and seek higher office across the state and country. The chapter is a great way to get involved on campus, and to connect with like-minded students that want to get active, volunteer, and work together towards progress. This year is an important year for the Democratic Party. Whether your concern is for health care, education, or the environment, President Obama and the Democratic caucus are going to be fighting hard battles to make a difference in Washington, and we have a lot of work to do to make sure that these goals are achieved.

So, join us tomorrow to meet some good Democrats, make connections across campus, get signed up for some great activities - and help us make a difference in our community and across the state.
