Reminder: ASG Senate Elections Today

Just a quick reminder that Associated Student Government Senate elections commence today, and run through 4:00pm on Friday. Each college has seats represented in ASG, so every student is eligible to vote for their representation. A summary and biographical information sheet on each candidate is available here on the ASG website.

Despite ASG's prominence on campus as the premiere student government organization, this was a very "down" year for Senate applications, and only one college actually has competitive elections. Fulbright College, the most competitive college in most years, was only able to field 15 candidates for 16 seats. The Fay Jones School of Architecture on the other hand, has a competitive race. Regardless of college, turnout legitimizes the elections, and lets our administration know that students care about shared governance, so please take the time to visit http://vote.uark.edu to cast your vote in the elections.
